CONGRATULATIONS GLORIA PURNELL!

#LDS'  2016 1ST Prom Scholarship Recipient

Your not looking at a average young woman - your looking at a STAR!
Gloria is an above average student  at Young Women's Leadership Charter School who has already started her own non for profit organization! While she has faced some challenges this past year, Gloria found the strength to remain grounded and focused. With a humbled heart, this young lady lives for blessing others! But now, it's her turn! Gloria has worked so hard to get this far to not finish her Senior year with the prom of her dreams!!

#Letsdosomething congratulates you Gloria, on a job well done! You are the reason this organization exists! We are extremely proud of you and can't wait to see your dreams come true! Stay tuned for more from this young lady! The best is yet to come!

It's A #LDS Baby Shower

This month, #LDS will be helping one special mother welcome her bundle of joy to the world. Our goal is to make sure  she has everything she needs to make her family comfortable with the new addition.

Thanks to everyone who has extended themselves by purchasing gifts to make this day special. #LDS will be accepting donations until April 20, 2016.

If you are interested in giving back to this young lady, please click on the "Contact/Donate" link above. You may also email [email protected] for additional details.

By the way...its a GIRL! :)

Thanks in advance for your support.

#LDS Extends LOVE to Women

On February 11, 2016, #LDS visited  two Chicago Shelters to distribute "Blessing Bags". Women volunteers selected a gently used purse of their own and stuffed it with toiletries, perfumes, prayers and other goodies! With a trunk FULL of purses, #LDS went to each shelter to let the young women select a bag of their choice to carry and enjoy everything inside!

Casa Esperanza and River of Life shelters, we thank you!
