Tiffany Smith, Founder, started #LetsDoSomething in September 2015.
Prior to the vision of #LetsDoSomething, Tiffany reestablished her relationship with God, who she strongly believes has put her in the position to lead this organization and help others as He wants her to.
As a young girl, Tiffany grew up in a life of poverty with her parents and two sisters. Her struggle helped her to understand first hand how tough life can be. Being without food, lights, gas, or even shelter became common to her as a child. Growing up without gave her the desire to dream big and the motivation to do better. She never questioned her life as a child, but she was eager to grow up and try something different. Now as an adult, she embraces her life story by inspiring others. Not just those in poverty, but all she comes into contact with. Her drive to "Do Something" has attracted many to give back and bless others.
Tiffany has over 10 years experience in the non-for-profit sector. She is a Performance Quality Improvement professional, who loves to tell stories through data and performance improvement. She is passionate about working with programs that improves the lives of others. With a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management and Development, Tiffany has worn many hats. She's a teacher, consultant, data analyst, program developer, compliance specialist and policy writer, to name a few. She has worked with Executives in the clinical, social services, financial, architectural and private sectors.
As the leader of #LetsDoSomething, Tiffany's goal is to GROW, BLESS AND SERVE.
Her 2016 goal is to successfully complete the "12 Months of Something" campaign. This campaign will be hosting a different event each month for 12 months to serve communities in the Chicagoland area. By 2017, Tiffany's dream is to make #LDS a 501(c)3 organization that manages diverse programs that provides a multitude of opportunities to help others.
#LetsDoSomething isn't your ordinary charitable organization. We genuinely care. Tiffany highly believes in cultural diversity and sensitivity to all served. Its not just about the "project", its about the "feeling" we leave behind. Regardless of race, sex, national origin or culture, our goal is to create an comfortable and loving environment to all we are in contact with.
